About the role
A great materials library is a designer's most important tool. Our Materials Librarian owns the organization, curation, and ongoing evolution of our physical samples library. You will request, catalogue, and retire samples; keep the library visually beautiful and functionally precise; and help designers find exactly what they need without friction.
What you’ll do
- Maintain the physical organization of the studio's materials library
- Request and catalogue new samples from trade vendors
- Retire outdated samples; maintain accurate vendor contact and pricing
- Keep digital records of active sample inventory in the studio's library software
- Support designers with pulls, mockups, and presentation boards
What we’re looking for
- 1 – 2 years of design firm or architecture firm experience
- Genuine interest in materiality
- Organized, meticulous, and energized by solo work
- Design or architecture degree or coursework
Nice to have
- Experience with Material Bank, Source.Studio, or similar
- Part-time schedule flexibility
